Serving as Zoran’s Vice President and Senior Fellow, Rafi Retter has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of VLSI design. His expertise covers Microprocessor and DSP architecture and design, as well as digital video processing, including demodulation, forward error correction, MPEG and JPEG.
Until Oren Semiconductor’s acquisition by Zoran, Mr. Retter served as Senior Vice President, Engineering and CTO at Oren, and was one of their founders.
Prior to co-founding Oren, Mr. Retter served as VP Engineering and VP R&D at Zoran Corporation, as well as General Manager of Zoran's Israeli design center.
Mr. Retter was also one of the first design engineers and project managers in Intel's design group in Israel.
Mr. Retter received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. He is the holder of seventeen patents.
