Zvi Or-Bach has been leading innovative developments in fast-turn ASIC for over 20 years. His vision led to the invention of the first Structured ASIC architecture, the first laser-based system for 1 day semiconductor customization and to the first Structured ASIC fabric at eASIC.
Or-Bach founded eASIC in 1999 and served as the company's first CEO. Under Or-Bach's reign, eASIC won the prestigious EE Times' 2005 ACE Award for ultimate product of the year in the Logic and Programmable Logic category.
Or-Bach is also the founder of Chip Express Corporation (now called Chipx) and served as the company's President and CEO for about 10 years, managing both the headquarters in USA and the subsidiary in Israel, bringing the company to $40M revenue and to be recognized for 3 consecutive years as a high-tech fast 50 company.
Prior to starting Chip Express, Or-Bach held engineering management positions at Elbit Computers, Ltd., Israel and Honeywell. Or-Bach served in the Israeli Defense Forceas Captain, in charge of Image Processing development and Electro-Optical Systems.
Zvi Or-Bach received his B.Sc. degree cum laude in Electrical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, and M.Sc. with distinction in Computer Science, from the Weizman Institute, Israel.
He holds over 30 patents, primarily in the field of semi-custom chip architectures.
