In 1993 Mr. Iloni founded Telegate, which developed and sold carrier-class access system for telephony and data services over cable TV infrastructure. He served as its President and CEO, until it was acquired by Terayon in January 2000.
Prior to that, Mr. Iloni spent 17 years at Telrad Telecommunication. While at Telrad, Mr. Iloni served in several VP level key positions. Among these positions he was Head of Business Systems Division, responsible for developing and exporting digital PABXs and advanced telephones. When he left this position he was supervising hundreds of employees in R&D, marketing and operations and had achieved annual sales in excess of $40 million.
Mr. Iloni was in charge of R&D and system design for Nortel-based private and public switching telephony networks at Telrad. In this capacity he managed 300 man-years of development efforts to build a strategic switching network for Israel Defense Forces.
From 1970 until 1976, Mr. Iloni served as a Signal Corps Officer in Israel’s Defense Forces, leading development of secure digital military communication systems.
Mr. Iloni holds a B.Sc., Cum Laude, in Electronics Engineering from the Technion — Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA degree from Tel-Aviv University.
