Shai Agassi, former President of the Product and Technology Group of SAP AG, is an active member of the Young Global Leaders organization (YGL) within the World Economic Forum (WEF). In April 2007, Agassi decided to leave SAP to pursue his personal passion for addressing climate change issues and is driving a national scale project for the next generation of transportation through conversion of cars to electric vehicles.
Agassi was a member of the Executive Board of SAP AG April 2002 through April 2007. In his last position he held responsibilities for the global development of the SAP product line and SAP’s portfolio of industry-specific solutions. Among the products, mySAP™ Business Suite, the world leading enterprise application suite, SAP NetWeaver™ which was launched under his guidance, SAP® xApps™, and SAP® Business One.
Shai drove the company's successful platform strategy, led innovation that helped SAP grow and continue market leadership, as well as set the stage for the future of business software.
Shai is a serial entrepreneur who started four companies and successfully sold two over the years. He is passionate for using technology in solving social issues.
Agassi graduated with honors from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where he received a bachelor's degree in computer science.
